Foodora Smartphone App Review

About

Foodora is an app which lets you order meals from your favourite neighbourhood restaurants that traditionally don’t deliver. The app is available on iOS and Android in most Foodora markets, allows users to view high-quality restaurants near them, selects which dishes they’d like, and place an order. The app also integrates with the Foodora website. Foodora was launched in Germany and has now spread to 10 countries.

Features

There are 17 restaurants offering dishes in 35 to 50 minutes. The app allows you to use your location to find restaurants near you. Users can choose from Australian, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, Japanese, Turkish, Thai, Italian, Spanish or gourmet burgers. Foodora allows you to pay in-restaurant prices, with a $5 delivery charge for each restaurant you order from. Users can also customise that order and track its progress through the preparation and delivery stages.

Foodora is available for free download from the iTunes store and Google Play store.

The Verdict

Foodora is a great app for people who want to order premium food in a simple and professional way. Foodora does battle with some tough competition. There are numerous food delivery apps which offer similar services that are of a higher standard than Foodora as they are used by more well known restaurants (E.g. Menulog). The app would be easier to manoeuvre if Foodora was adopted by more restaurants across Australia. The app is yet to spread to our local areas.
